The Martingale Roulette System
A very bad betting strategy known as the Martingale has been around for ages. What most people don’t understand about the Martingale is that is proven to not work, yet players and gamblers alike continue to use and sell the method. When using the Martingale the player is supposed to continuously double their bets. When using the Martingale the player will make a bet, and if the bet loses, the player will then place a bigger bet, one that is twice the size of the previous bet.
According to the Martingale, eventually the player will win and when they do they will win enough money to cover all of the loses and win back the original stake. However it usually doesn’t play out like that in real life. However you are much more likely to lose all of your money using the Martingale betting system. However as a betting system the Martingale is filled with problems.
One of the biggest holes in the Martingale is that if there is a table betting limit, whether in the casino or at the online roulette table the Martingale cannot properly function. If you make a bet that is the limit and lose you will be unable to make a bet that is double the size, this disables the Martingale. Another problem with the Martingale is that is does nothing to swing any odds in your favor. The Martingale system lines up perfectly with many players’ already existing superstitions, which is one reason that so many people swear by the system. A false believe that copious amounts of online roulette players is the belief that past spins will influence or alter future spins. To show you what I mean, imagine that the ball lands on the color black seven times in a row, many players would assume that it is bound to land on red soon and start betting on red, however mathematically this is not the case.
Keep in mind that no matter what system you’re using it needs to be at an honest casino. The casino where I do most of my playing is Bet365 Casino and I will be playing there for the foreseeable future.
