• In baseball, everyone in the game except the catcher use a glove in one hand. While in cricket, protective equipment is used by the batsmen while other fielders and bowlers do not use any sort of equipment.

• In basketball, individually a batsman is allowed a maximum of three legal pitches. While in cricket, the number of balls per bowler depends upon the number of balls in a game.

• The maximum score possible in one hitball is four in baseball. In cricket, the maximum score on one ball can be six.

Other than all these difference, the length of both games also differs. Perhaps because of a more tight and busy lifestyle of Americans, baseball games are normally shorter. The test matches in cricket can go up to five days while one day internationals too need almost a complete day to decide a winner.
